Craig Schroeder
Outreach Manager
Craig joined Felidae as the Public Outreach Manager in the Spring of 2010 after being inspired by a Felidae presentation that he attended in Tiburon, CA. The presentation touched a nerve, when the dialog around the killing of a mountain lion in Palo Alto became heated. A native of Redwood City, California, and an avid mountain biker and trail runner, he has enjoyed numerous wildlife encounters in the San Francisco Bay Area's protected lands and open spaces. As a result, he felt compelled to become involved in Felidae's expanding outreach and education efforts.
Using his background in high level sales with Fortune 500 organizations, and his interpersonal communication skills, Craig's goal is to dispel misconceptions and fear of the local apex predator and its vital role in a balanced ecosystem.
As a competitive endurance mountain biker and recreational trail runner, he has had considerable exposure to wild places and has seen the negative impact of human encroachment on fragile San Francisco Bay Area ecosystems. Craig is committed to driving outreach efforts that help to ensure the protection of wildlife and their habitats, so that future generations can experience the beauty of an intact natural world.
