Development Director

Michael is a media technologist with a strong affinity for nature and animals. He is currently the Development Director for Felidae. Having been drawn to the innovative work of Felidae, he became inspired by the potential for using cutting-edge technology to drive environmental understanding, and believes that recent developments in online media have created opportunities to bring the conservation message to a new generation on a massive scale.

Over the past 20 years Michael has spent way too much time staring at computers. Throughout the 1990's he was on the technology team at Lucasfilm's interactive media division. Since then he has been working in startups and as a consultant in the online media industry. He joined the Felidae board in mid-2008, and is very happy to be involved in an endeavor where the forests and animals are made of atoms not pixels.
