Bridging Two Species

Bridging Two Species was the inaugural fundraiser for Felidae Conservation Fund (FCF). During this event we drew on the similarities between the mountain lion and the snow leopard to raise awareness around both species and to draw attention to two different studies we are collaborators on. This delightful event was held at the Headlands Center for the Arts in the beautiful Sausalito Headlands, Marin County, which also happens to be mountain lion habitat. Dr. Walter Boyce of the Wildlife Health Center at UC Davis, presented on the ongoing mountain lion study in Southern California, and Dr Tom McCarthy, the Conservation Director for the Snow Leopard Trust in Seattle, presented on the soon-to-be-launched snow leopard GPS-satellite collaring study in Pakistan. Il Fornaio catered this event and Brian Wallace played live traditional Indian music. Jeff Lee presented Koda, an ambassador mountain lion, to the crowd.
